Calls on Kass Uehling for New Name and Logo

New York, NY — June 13, 2007 — Hazard Communications Systems (HCS), a world leader in safety communications manufacturing, announced the change of their name to Clarion Safety Systems (Clarion), developed by New York-based consulting firm Kass Uehling. “We wanted to precisely reflect our expanded mission of providing clear, concise and compliant safety signs, labels, markings and egress systems”, said Geoffrey Peckham, founder and President of the company, “as well as pull HCS out of alphabet soup. Kass Uehling was the ideal partner.”

“The new name is an essential component of the company’s aggressive growth strategy to raise its profile through effective branding,” said James Uehling of Kass Uehling. “We therefore gave the evocative name Clarion, which means loud and clear, a distinctive visual personality.” Kass Uehling also translated the visual-verbal brand elements systematically throughout corporate and marketing communications so that all media present a strong, consistent brand message. This new identity is successfully leveraging the company’s sales and marketing activities and supporting its growth objectives.
